2 day Stanthorpe Winery Tour

This large town in Queensland's Granite Belt, stands on a high plateau and experiences Queensland's lowest temperatures. Stanthorpe is known for it's apples, pears, table grapes and wines - industries developed by its large Italian community.

Day 1:

We depart from the glitz and glamour of the Gold Coast at around 9.30 am and take the scenic tour through the countryside to Tamborine, Beaudesert, Boonah, and Kalbar before climbing up Cunningham's Gap.

We continue on through the town of Warwick known for its roses, rodeos and historic buildings

Just 10 minutes north of Stanthorpe we stop at Vincenzo's at The Big Apple.  Vincenzo's showcases the regions prime produce and liqueurs. There's time to enjoy a cup of their finest coffee, chocolates, specially made gelati, local liqueurs and gourmet Italian food.

We then visit one or two (or three if we have time) of the regions wineries to sample some Granite Belt wines and enjoy country hospitality before settling in at one of the old country style pubs in Stanthorpe for the night.

There is a pub stop for lunch.

DAY 2:

After breakfast in Stanthorpe we ride 15 k's south to the Bramble Patch Berry Gardens, a working berry farm which specialises in gourmet jams, dessert sauces, meat sauces, relishes, vinegars and fortified berry wines. All products are made on the premises and are available for tasting.

We then take a leisurely scenic tour back to the Gold Coast through Warwick and the green, green hills around Killarney to Woodenbong, Rathdowney, Beaudesert and Tamborine before returning at around 5.00 pm.

There is a pub stop for lunch.
